The examinations and tests we perform, and the conditions we diagnose, treat and follow up.

Examinations and tests

Cardiology consultation

The doctor talks with you about your symptoms, lifestyle and current medication, measures your blood pressure, listens to your heart and, if needed, orders an ECG or other tests. The aim is to clarify your condition and agree on a plan for treatment and follow-up.

Echocardiography

An ultrasound scan of the heart that lets the doctor see, in real time, how the heart chambers and valves are working. It is painless, involves no radiation and needs no special preparation.

Holter ECG monitoring

A small recorder connected to electrodes on your chest records your heart rhythm continuously while you go about your normal day. This can reveal rhythm problems that may not appear during a short visit. The practice also offers 12-lead Holter monitoring, which records a more detailed ECG.

12-lead Holter monitoring is performed by Dr Petar Georgiev.

24-hour blood pressure Holter monitoring

A small device with a cuff on your arm automatically measures your blood pressure at regular intervals during the day and night while you go about your normal routine. This shows how your blood pressure changes during daily activities and sleep, and avoids the “white-coat effect” – readings that are raised only in the doctor’s office. The test helps diagnose arterial hypertension and assess whether treatment is working well.

Prevention and preventive cardiology

An assessment of your cardiovascular risk factors – blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, smoking, excess weight and family history – with advice on how to keep them under control. A preventive check-up is useful even when you have no symptoms.

Conditions we diagnose, treat and follow up

Arterial hypertension

High blood pressure often causes no symptoms, yet over time it strains the heart and blood vessels. We help with an accurate diagnosis, choice of treatment and regular follow-up.

Ischaemic heart disease

A condition in which the heart muscle does not receive enough blood, most often because of narrowed coronary arteries. It may present as chest pain or tightness on exertion, shortness of breath or fatigue.

Heart failure

The heart does not pump blood as effectively as the body needs. Typical signs are breathlessness, swollen ankles and tiring easily. Early diagnosis and regular follow-up are important for keeping the condition under control.

Heart rhythm and conduction disorders

A fast, slow or irregular pulse, palpitations, skipped beats or dizziness may be caused by a rhythm disorder. ECG and Holter monitoring help find the cause and choose the right approach.

Valvular heart disease

Narrowing or incomplete closure of the heart valves. Echocardiography is the main test for detecting and monitoring valve disease, and patients are referred for further treatment when needed.
